Doug Freeland, AIDT’s Media Services Manager, began his career as a news reporter, columnist and photographer for The Newberry Observer in Newberry, SC. In 1984, he left his post as The Observer’s associate editor to become editor-in-chief of The Progress, an award-winning tri-weekly newspaper in Prattville, AL. Two years later he joined AIDT, where he and his staff continue to produce training manuals, recruitment advertising and other materials for hundreds of companies in Alabama.
In 1994, Freeland supervised the addition of in-house video production services at AIDT. He has since produced and narrated training and corporate orientation videos for Alabama companies manufacturing everything from turbines to toilet seats.
Freeland resides in Prattville with his wife Deborah. He also sings, blows harmonica and plays guitar with the Montgomery-based rock & blues band “Riversyde.”
